New report available: Repeat purchase behavior

A new report is available in Vendor Central and Seller Central for registered brands. The Repeat Purchases report shows how many units and how much revenue can be attributed to repeat purchases, i.e. a previous customer buying more of the same product. Both 1P vendors and 3P sellers can access the repeat purchase behavior report, but you must be the registered owner of your brand to access this information.

What counts as a repeat purchase?

The report shows the number of orders received for each product or ASIN, the number of unique customers who placed the orders, and revenue or ordered product sales attributed to repeat purchases. By comparing the number of orders with the number of unique customers, brand owners can identify products that have been ordered more than once per customer during the specified timeframe. The report also shows what percentage of customers in a specified timeframe had a repeat purchase.

  • Returns are not reflected in this report. In other words, if a customer makes a repeat purchase and then returns it, the purchase will still be reflected in this report.

  • Amazon lets you search for a specific product or set of products using the ASIN search box in Vendor Central or Seller Central UI. Reason Automation exports all available data.

  • Repeat purchases are based on child ASIN, so customers who purchase multiple variations (e.g. colors) or who upgrade (e.g. from a single SKU to a 3-pack SKU) may not be reflected in this report.
